Club Basketball

The Warriors are a full member club of the McKinnon Basketball Association. We have boys and girls teams competing in a range of age groups and skill levels.

Summer Season runs over terms 4 and 1. Winter season runs over terms 2 & 3.

Years of Birth for age groups for the 2025 Winter season will be as follows

U8 - 2019/2020

U10 - 2017/2018

U12 - 2015/2016

U14 - 2013/2014

U16 - 2011/2012

U18 - 2009/2010

U20 - 2007/2008

Beginners Program

Our Beginners Program provides an opportunity for younger children who have never played the game before an opportunity to learn the basic skills and concepts of the game, allowing them to develop confidence before being placed in a competitive team.

The target for this program is children aged between 6 - 12, that haven’t played competitive basketball for or would like more time developing their skills.

Girls Only!

Girls Only! is the brand new version of our beginners basketball program that is just for girls. The aim of this program is to provide a comfortable environment for the girls to develop the basic skills and concepts of the game before they start in competitive teams.

The target for this program is girls aged between 6 - 12, that haven’t played competitive basketball for or would like more time developing their skills .

Warriors Academy

If you or your young baller is enjoying their basketball and they want to spend some more time once a week developing skills to improve their game, then the Warriors Academy might the right choice.

The McKinnon Association runs an excellent representative program for ballers that want further develop their skills and passion for the game. This usually involves multiple training sessions per week and a Friday night game somewhere in the state of Victoria (usually in Melbourne).

The Warriors academy is intended to be a bridge between our club teams and the representative program, for those that feel rep basketball is too big a commitment, can’t commit, or aren’t sure if they are ready.
